    Do you even watch any of his games? Look at the amount of assists he got last season, some of those were world class, he's young enough to so he'll get even better. Tell ye one thing your "average" standards must be sky high.

    people who think song is world class are fúcking insane

    average player at best, jack of all trades master of none

    brought into the arsenal team to be the most defensive minded - does a half assed job at it.

    tries countless long passes the majority of which don't come off.
    but the only ones remembered are the assists to RVP, he wasted a lot of possession trying them

    Maybe not but during live match coverage I dont expect them to get basics like that wrong. Its why I posed cause I couldnt believe he would only be on a 2 year deal.

    No player who is considerd one of the best preforming players at a club like Arsenal (Song was last year) and gets a move to a club like Barca for 15+mil is "Average". He might not be world class (arguable as is the meaning of the term) but he is above average for sure. Good squad signing for Barca imo but cant help but think something went on behind the scenes with him and Wenger for him to be moved on in such a fashion.

    I don't rate him as highly as most for reasons I've already outlined, but even I think the above is being incredibly harsh on Song. Can't believe you have me somewhat defending him :pac:

    His contract was due for renewal, the RVP saga & Barca offering better terms probably swung things in the direction they went. Fabregas probably tapped him up for the club too

    I dont think Song is average, he's a pretty good player, but I'd say he's average in the Barcelona team, which isn't a bad thing to be when compared with the likes of Xavi,Busquets,Thiago,Fabregas etc. Bit surprised they signed him tbh
