I like cleaning cars. Something about a clean car makes me smile. Just spent 2 hours cleaning both our car's interiors.

Same. Spent about two hours cleaning my dads car inside and out this morning and gave my mams a quick blast of the power hose.

Nice way to spend my birthday :pac:

Rang about a car the other day, asked your man has the car ever been crashed or damaged, his reply ''no not really''. Pity, it looked to be in spotless condition but the bloke didn't want to elaborate on the matter. The search continues.....

Ha! At least you know he's a rubbish liar if you do decide to take a 2nd look.

Speaking of the same car, can a seller book it in for an NCT and sell it with a date ? Even though the date wasn't even issued.

Sell it before it is NCT'd but he has it booked in for you?

Yep but he wasn't even giving a date, I booked my mams in for an NCT a couple of weeks ago and got a date and a time in two minutes.

    So annoyed right now....
Washed the car this morning, spent a long time gettin it lookin good and then tonight I was babysitting the woman's niece with her. She had a friend stayin over and for some unknown reason they decided to get bags of flour and have a flour fight.... Right in front of my car. Didn't realise until I went outside for a smoke and saw it myself. Can't tell you how frustrated I am

I know exactly how frustrated you are! Bury the kids faces in flour and see how they like it

When I had the red MG ZR I had it parked outside the misses at the time's house and came out to it the next morning to find soccer ball shaped scratches all over the sides of it. Little fvcken cvnts!!!

As long as it doesn't get wet, you can easily wipe it off the car tomorrow or tape a microfibre cloth to the hoover hose and you can safely hoover it all off.

I already got out the microfiber and quick detailer and got rid of the hand prints and alot of the flour, but some has caked on with the condensation :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,919 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

Leave it until tomorrow when the condensation is gone, you'll only make it worse.

If your misses takes the piss out of you for doing that with the quick detailer, smack her! :pac:

Some types of flour can eat away the lacquer on a car, others can eat away everything right down to the metal. What type of flour was it?

Are you serious?? Ffs like... I have no idea what sort it was tbh, kinda worried now

I'd say self raising flour would be bad seeing as it's got baking soda in it.

To those who were talking about the beauty of rough idles at the meet, I think 3 Rotors deserve a mention. :D

    And just because...

    Ooooooooooooh....

I think he's taking the piss... googled it and there's nothing about flour just egg.
Maybe in extreme heat (above Irish level) it could do damage.

Anyone know where can you get the car power point/lighter socket repaired or instaled-and how much it might cost-halfords maybe? I only got the car couple of weeks ago and there's a hole, a lighter insert was in the glove compartment but nothing in the hole as such (just some wires under). Didn't care until I remembered I have an mp3 tuner I'd like to use that's powered by one.
