    Agreed, i hope it's Diaby & Arteta

Who will we bring on for Diaby then?
    Coq or ramsey
I will cry if he goes off injured
    Proper tears and all :)

It should be a nice opportunity to see a new style of Arsenal play.
I'm looking forward to see more team play with no one man taking all the chances & glory

Me too but trying to select a team for tomorrow with all the injuries and eventualities just goes to show the need for a big squad and we need a DM big-time if Song goes. We don't know if Diaby, Wilshere or Frinpong are going to be fit and not get a recurrance when they do eventually return.

Add Sahin and possibly one more do we have the strongest squad of midfield players in the premiership
    I think so

We certainly need one DM and a good one at that.

    Song more or less gone.

    FFS.

    Another repeat of last summer.

Im sure Wenger has looked at all possibilities and i hope what we have can do the job, i'd say Wenger is looking to repay some faith in what he has by not looking to replace him.

I'm told Arsène Wenger called Nuri Sahin earlier. Personal touch has worked. He would be cover, but Arsenal also want proper DM.

    Fingers crossed.

In fairness, whatever needs to be done to avoid players running down their contracts needs to be done, starting right now.

If Song's posturing now with three years left then I say sell him as long as we have a guaranteed replacement. Either he's committed to building this squad over the next 3-4 years or he should be gotten rid of.

Tthe exodus must stop and Song, Walcott and perhaps Sagna are the last names on the list.

There seems to be a lot going on that we don't know about. Song was with us since he was a lad of 17. If he does go he will be missed. People talk about him being caught out of position and attacking too much but I will remember the number of times he also provided the winner. I also remember him clearing the ball off the line when out Centre-halves were running back across the half-way line too but not a word about that.

Lads just a question for future references, does the Arsenal fans still all meet up in The Mercantile for a few pints to watch the live Arsenal games??

That's fair enough, but the fact is he doesn't want to be at the club, and Wenger has changed his tune from 3 weeks ago and that tells me everything about what Song wants.
I feel really sorry for the boss at the moment.

    Our resident ITK.

Who's the DM? Who's the versatile back? Are we getting anyone else in up top? Is Arshavin being kept? What did Wenger have for tea this evening?

Then someone is telling lies about what's happening at Arsenal. I haven't heard or read one report about Song wanting out. I have read some that said he was happy at the club and quoted him though.

I think he's only being optimistic about what he hopes will happen.
By the way, the boss had a stiff glass of Vodka for his tea this evening, i know i would.:D

The boss said 3 weeks ago that Song has 3 years to run and no contact had been made.
Now he says it may happen, when the boss says it may happen, it will happen.
Do you think Song is saying "I really want to stay but the lack of trophies is forcing me to leave"?

I don't we need Sahin and a DM.

But I'd love a tough as nails versatile back, someone like Ivanovic in an ideal world.

This is what he said. It looks like Barca made the inquiry and Song or his agent decided to talk to them. But he did say he was happy at Arsenal. He will get splinters in his arse though sitting on the bench at Barca if he does go.

    BBC more or less confirms.
    Song out, Sahin in.
Not really a like for like replacement though.
Would still like a striker and a DM.

Will give you Evra...he was world class (up there with Ashley Cole) but isn't anymore.

Nani is world class...we'd expect to get £30m for him if we sold him right now.

    Tony V is world class.

Kagawa was player of the year in Germany and is my tip for the PFA award this year. He really is that good.

Can see your point re Scholes but he'd still stroll into most sides, including yours.

Unfortunately stroll is all he can do these days :pac: - you really don't want to be relying on him or Giggs this season if you're going to be challenging. you'll also need Kagawa to adapt to the rigours of the EPL pretty quickly too and hope you are as lucky with RVPs fragility as we were last year.

Well if he does go then he's a lying arse isn't he?;)
