How many of the Sahin droolers have actually seen him play I wonder.

I watched him in Germany if that counts. Always rated him as a better player than Özil too

It seems a common argument you use.
I've seen him plays lots because I like watching The Bundesliga.
Liverpool seem to be signing a really good player for what seems a good deal and you still try to have a dig.
    Change the fcukin record

    Cry me a river.

You know as well as I do that people latch on to the opinions of one or two informed others and make them their own. Good on you for seeing him but I guarantee you're in the very vast minority.

And it isn't restricted to Liverpool fans either in any way shape or form so ditch the complex.

It's something you seem to churn out quite a bit.
Of course there's a few that haven't seen him play and in fact I've seen a few admit it and ask for opinions on what he's like.
As you know full well it's an open forum and you get all types in here but you would just like to find a reason to have a pop.

And for the record, Agger IS a much better player than Lescott :)

This thing is, I've never seen Sahin play which is why I've not made mention of him as a player anywhere. You have to admit that my point is fair, and it's bloody annoying when the knowledgeable posts by those genuinely in the know are lost amongst the drivel of the fanbois. who might have watched a goal on YouTube. Devalues the genuine football conversation and that's what I'm getting at. Sahin is just the latest example.

Better player yes, defender no ;)

Such a lame repetitive argument that. Nearly always gets made by people that admittedly know nothing about said player. Does it annoy you that you know nothing of him and others do?

Yes, but he favoured Atleti first in the 40s and early 50s. When Real became successful, he switched to them.

Heh not in the slightest, I don't pretend to know about something I don't :)

I thought Sahins qualities have been known about for a while now? Remember plenty of United fans, myself included being gutted that we had no chance of getting him when he moved to Madrid even though the fee was so small, (he had made it clear it was Madrid he wanted to go to)

Super player tbh, if he is genuinely going to Liverpool and United didnt even try I am going to be upset again!

Can't scroll back far enough to retweet/favourite/reply to that Piers Morgan tweet. Enraged.

It might be a surprise to most hear, but quite a large number of Spaniards are fond of Real. Outside of Catalunya, odds are that if a bar was showing a Classico, the majority of the patrons would be shouting for Los Merengues. I assumed it was like it is here (Barca-fawning, Real-hating), but I was in the Canaries and was surprised that most were cheering for Real, so I asked a guy. It'd be nearly 50:50, but Real would have the edge.

And how will you know United wouldn't have tried? Not reported in a reputable newspaper? Some halfwit didn't tweet it?

Do you have a line to the manager's fax machine, because unless you do, you have absolutely zero way of knowing that United did or did not make representations to Real Madrid about the services of Sahin.

Well I'm sure you'll get over it by going back over your Angelo Henriquez videos.

I can attest to this I haven't seen Sahin play but for some reason I was dissapointed to hear he's probably going to Liverpool and it makes no sense???

Wolves have rejected a third and believed to be final 6.5 million offer from West Ham for Jarvis. They are holding out for 9 million, I believe. Massive pressure on Wolves to come straight back up as they are the only team to have kept their whole squad together.

To turn down a total of over 20 million for 2 players is quite a statement from them alright.
They really must fancy themselves to come back up..........

Key word here. Aparently deal to Liverpool looks all but dead. Arsenal now the favourites to land him.

According to German media, not English.

What media are you reading? Because the English (closest to the buying club), the Spanish (selling club) and the Turkish (his home country) all have him locked down to go to Liverpool, expecting word today.

    But let's see...

Media in Newcastle reporting that Liverpool are willing to sell Andy Carroll back to Newcastle for £17 million.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,968 ✭✭✭✭mike65

17 million? I'd take it frankly. Just another expensive misfiring striker to add to the list that LFC have bought down the last 25 years.

    Saunders
    Collymore
    Cisse
    Diouf
    Keane
    Carroll

Collymore does not belong on a list of LFC "misfiring strikers".

Newcastle just spent £6.6million today and are not willing to front a £7mill move for Debuchy. There's absolutely no chance in hell of them splashing out £17mill on AC. No chance.

I didn't think Keane got long enough with you to be classified as misfiring; he did get 5 in 19 which isn't disasterous considering he was playing second fiddle to Torres. You'd take 10 goals from a back up striker over the course of a season.

I had a look at his wiki there and every entry for each of the clubs he's played for starts with "Keane expressed his delight at joining the club he supported as a boy". :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,968 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Re Collymore, well not misfire - unfulfilled. Though given what would follow just as well he left.

As for Keane well I rate him a misfire for all the chances he suddenly couldn't put away when wearing red (it got a bit silly in one game as player after player teed up Keane for shots including a blatant tap in which he put wide)

Take Ashley's hand and everything.... And keep someone outside with the car ticking over for a quick getaway.

Moutinho to Spurs, I reckon. His old boss is there, they need a replacement for Modric, and his sale gives them the money to do it...

I wouldn't sell him back to Ashley for less than £35m. I'd let West Ham (or anyone else) have him for a lot less though, if he'd go.

Yeah, it's Ashley's fault Liverpool were stupid enough to pay that money. You should be so lucky to get an offer of half that.
