Manual for Silvercrest 803 camping satellite system

    I recently was given a Silvercrest 803 camping satellite system.

    I'm looking out for the manual or a link to it before I attempt to assemble it!

    Hi mrtom,

    The Silvercrest, Comag, Maplin, and Maxview camping satellite systems are all essentially the same with branding being the only difference. This Quick Guide for the Maxview version might get you started.

    Grand, I can figure out the brackets, clamps, cables and hinges myself.

    Comes with a directional device with a floating compass, where you dial in your city and I assume the markings on the compass are for 19.2. (Default for software updates). Any one had experience with it?

    Take a look at this site: http://www.dishpointer.com

    You can check out the bearing to 28 east (or any other) from your own location & see how it ties in with the markings on the compass.

    Up and running. though unable to update software on 19.2. , it reads "collecting information" then "failed to connect". Sig strength 73% Sig quality 60%. Thoughts on what benifits update offers?
    As I said up & running.

    Hi mrtom,

    I don't think it offers much if I remember correctly. Only ever succeeded in updating the receiver using an RS232 cable. OTA update on 19.2e never seemed to work.
