    Have to say I think Tony O'Donoghue, the athletics commentator for RTE has always been superb, going back as far as I can remember, to LA 84. Makes George Hamilton sound like an amateur. Though he must be getting on a bit now - thought be sounded a bit jaded commentating on the steeplechase final there. Still no idea what he looks like.

    Gerry Kiernan great in the studio, one of the few RTE panelists (for any sport) that knows what he's talking about

    Have to say the British public were brilliant support for all our competitors cheering them on in all the events.
    If that was some of our crowd they'd be booing their competitors. We need to change our mentality about our sporting neighbours. This OG really opened my eyes.
