Watching it in work, and have no sound, so had no idea how it was going. Very unlucky that, but brilliant fight, 15-15 after the hiding he got in Bejing is some turnaround.

Well done Paddy, some achievement he did, to win 2 medals in 2 olympics.

"you're a hero, we're so proud of you, BRONZE medallist paddy barnes" - shut up Marty for Gods sake - that's the last thing he wants to hear!

For those that watch boxing, would he have been expecting to have a decent chance in a final against either of the two lads fighting now?

Gutted for Paddy but he showed great humility in defeat there!

    So so unlucky :(

Paddy Barnes proved today what a fantastic boxer he is. He has come on some way in 4 years.

Fair play to Zou and Barnes at the end of the fight. Great camaraderie between 2 great boxers.

I expected Barnes to be beat comfortably. No shame in getting beat on countback to one of the greatest fighters ever.

    EVENFLOW

Your man he fought is the olympic and world champ isn't he? I'd imagine hed've been favourite had he got over him

Doesnt really work like that though doe sit? These two lads could be the 2nd and 3rd seeds for all I know. They look lively enough anyway.

I know yeah but I think this Chinese is rated as a shoe in I'm open to correction though

    Top man Paddy:

Barnes magnanimous in defeat. “The more skilful boxer won,” he said. “I tried hard to pin him down. He has so much ring confidence, that why he is the champion.”
