    hey all,
Im living in brussels and found a decathlon nearby. They have a decent looking "breathable" rain jacket for 80 euro...a gore tex equivalent material...has anyone bought their gear before...trying to weigh up what the quality would be like...?

    Cheers

It has a good reputation and for the price it's generally excellent.

I've never bought Quechua waterproof clothing, but I have a fair bit of their other equipment from Rucksacks to socks and clothes. I find their stuff excellent especially for the price. Its pretty long lasting and very practical design.

For 80 euro, I would guess that the waterproof jacket would be a decent lightweight waterproof. And way cheaper than any Goretex equivalent

I bought a lot of stuff from Decathlon when I worked in Liege and all of it was good and mostly quite cheap

Nice...I headed out Friday and am €160 lighter now...just need to avoid paying excess on the flight home to make it worth it!

Well I'd never heard of them before I did the Camino and then I found that pretty much everyone from mainland Europe had some of their gear.... especially their green sleeping bag.

but for time constraints I think I'd have given in to all the product placement and got myself one :D
