Found this in a customer's console today - a drive so rare, c4e didn't even bother to make an LT for it. Good thing it was a trinity and it's glitched now

Same console, another weird thing. Never had a console where the warranty sticker remained entirely intact on disassembly. Of course the inner one covering a DVD drive screw was there and was obliterated but still, made me o_O for a bit

I didn't even know Hitachi drives in Slim consoles even made it to Ireland. Like why did they even bother with Hitachi drives, would it not have cost them money to design them and in the end not use much of them.

Another Dual Nand Xbox 360 Slim, slightly tidier wiring this time.

Screw Demon and it's hefty price tag!

    Awesome job, Ryan

If you do a dual nand like this you really need to hard wire an SPI flasher in there as well to save you opening the console each time theres an update.

XNandHealer, this little program saved my dual nand Xbox 360 definite must have for the Xbox modder!

There's a couple more things to do to make it on par with the demon, a simple LED to show which nand is selected, would be wired either to the left or right ground on the switch would draw power from the vcc on the coolrunner or any other 3.3v source.

Also needs an smc reset circuit, to clear the smc so don't you dont have to pull the power from the back each time you toggle the switch.

If anyone could make sense of the following diagram, I would be able to add the smc reset.

On my fourth successful reball I booted the Xbox 360 to find an exploitable blades dashboard, it's just a shame its not mine :(

Definitely it's more than likely exploitable with the jtag hack, which was patched after the 2.0.7371 dashboard

As in L@@K R@R3 ebay type rare? It's worth as much as any exploitable 360 is worth. I'd never class a console as rare because of its dash version though...hard to come by maybe, but the RGH took the value out of this stuff

Finally figured out the smc reset circuit, here's what it looks like

    2mb8ya.jpg

Basically this resets the smc every time the switch is thrown, which means you don't have to pull the plug when switching between nands its a great solution if you don't want to reach into the back of the console when you fancy using the RGH/retail.

There's a diode on there to keep ground from flowing into and enabling the Coolrunner when the switch is in the stock position. The n channel mosfet acts like a gate opening a fraction of a second and resetting the smc (j2b1.5) when the switch moves between ground.

I'll draw up a rough schematic at some point if anybody needs it.
