Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Renville in Oranmore is quite nice. It's beside the sea, a nice forest walk/ seaside walk.

Try this site http://www.discoverireland.ie/Activities-Adventure/mount-gable-walk/77695 . Lots of walks for all levels round Clonbur, and a nice wee town for a meal and a pint after.

I posted this in Nature & Bird Watching but I don't know if that was the right place for it ^^

I went on a nice walk with my gf (and her little yorkshire terrier!) last week and we had a lot of fun! But we need suggestions on where to go next

Here's where we went last week:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lough_Carra (is right beside Moore Hall)

Anyone know some nice spots? Ty :)

Mayo walking website is good http://www.mayowalks.ie/home/

I recommend the Letterkeen Loop if you are a reasonable walker because if your not it can be tough.

Milltown is noted for trout and salmon fishing.[citation needed] The park in the centre of Milltown has tennis courts and a playpark for children with swings and slides. There is also a 1550 metre walk along the River Clare, for which the Local Development Association has won a number of awards.[3] It also has a 4.5 km Slí na Sláinte scenic rural walk, for which it won first place in County Galway in the National Tidy Town Awards for 8 years from 1996 - 2003. A telescope which belonged to John Birmingham (astronomer) is on display at the Milltown community museum.[4]

The Greenway either Newport to Mulranny or Mulranny to Achill for sea views. You can do as much or as little as you want.
Belleek Woods are lovely in Ballina
Enniscrone Beach (less than 10 mins from Ballina) brilliant walking beach
Shorter walks around the museum of country life near Castlebar.
    Lough Lannagh, Castlebar
Walks around Ashford Castle, Cong, Co Mayo
    The Prom in Salthill
    Portumna Forest Park, Co Galway
Coole Park near Gort, Co Galway
Tourmakeady Woods and Waterfall, Co Mayo
