    BOTH!
    Why pitch them against each-other?
    Both deadly bands.

I would probably have listened to more Oasis as a sprog.

    Since we're rehashing the nineties:

Oasis, the best Beatles tribute band ever.

    WHAA?

Father Damo's actually online here at the minute, so he'll sort out anyone who says Blur.

There was a bit more variety with Blur; Oasis kinda stuck with a media and crowd please formula, plus the Gallaghers were a pair of pricks.

    Blur ---- Gorillaz
    Oasis ---- Beady Eye

Let's not pretend there's any contest as regards creativity or evolution.

This +1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (ok my finger hurts from pressing '0' now :()

I'd prob pick Oasis over Blur but two songs I absolutely hate are Oasis songs, Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger.....if I never heard them again I'd be a happy man!

Both have some very good songs but at the end of the day they are both just a poor man's Stone Roses!

I like Oasis, but there was always far more talent and originality in Blur

    This.

I wouldn't take anyone seriously that would consider Oasis better than Blur.

Agreed, though I'd lean more towards Blur.

I think that Oasis just became a bit overwhelmed with the level of fame they attained, and this affected their later music. Still love some of their early stuff. Noel Gallagher is a very talented guy.

Blur didn't have as much focus on them, and so probably felt not so constricted.

Yeah, Blur had many very talented members, Oasis seemed to only have one.

Yea, I voted for Blur too. Not all Oasis songs are particularly well-written, you can definitely smell the drugs on some of them. :D And Liam being a bit of a drama queen (I'm inclined to believe Noel) didn't help.
Also, I like the bass player in Blur and his cheese enthusiasm. That's a well-rounded individual!! In general, they were always a lot less arseholey than the Gallaghers.

    Little James -
You live for your toys, even though they make noise
Have you ever played with plastercine
    Or even tried a trampoline
    Thank you for your smile
You make it all worthwhile to us

Considering how mind boggingly sh!t the above lyrics are, then I'll be going with Blur by default.
