I'm researching my grandfather who was born in Moville. he was taken to England as a baby, went to sea on oil tankers as a young man and retired to Moville when he was invalided out of the Navy during the war.

he was a drinker and spent time in the pubs, but his favourite was Susies in the square.

there is still a pub in moville called Susies.

no website though and I can't find a lot on line.

before I drive 130 miles up to spend some time there, does anyone know if this is the same building? same family in ownership? massive refurishment or still as it was?

    any one any info?

    thanks!!

I can quite confidently say that Susies hasn't changed much since your Grandad was a lad.
