Pretty much this. Horrible website/community. Ive only ever had problems with barbed wire once and that was trying to access a firestation tower on the outskirts of one of the big towns.

I try to remove some whenever I see it but it's so dangerous doing it around cherno and elektro when you're alone...

We updating one at a time, theres a new beta out today but its not BE supported yet.

IE2 is 95054 now.

Navigate to (Drive)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta
Delete the folder "beta", then download and install the beta package you require.

As in we're watching to see what bugs are reported and whether or not we should update.

No point in updating if a build is riddled with bugs and annoyances.

I have come across a few spots where it's just mental, 2 or mor layers of it around buildings.

I love it when you come across some , where it's obvious they are trying to grief but the barb wire has laid under the floor.

Ok IE2 seems ok with 95054 so updated IE1 as server was very quite, most likely due to the Auto Updater installing the beta for people

Just killed my first player. Intense, he shot me first so I just wasted him. Then the server lie synced as I tried to morphine myself and when it resynced I'm lying there bleeding out. Had a nice inventory too. Oh well.

Wow I must be lucky then as Ive never seen it completely surround buildings. Sometimes its at the entrances to places like barns or airport control towers but you can hop over it easy.

Cant get onto the beta patch download page, keeps telling me to enter username & password.

Kept getting kicked by battleeye there too, failed to update 3 times in a row, guess thats due to running beta 94876 when server is running higher?

Just got killed in Stary Sobor

Had spent ages making my from Electro to Staroye to Shakhovka, through the Black Forest to Gorka, west to Nova Sobor, and then to Stary Sobor, and all on foot. Just randomly making my way through towns. Didn't know there where even military tents there until I read Platinums' post a few pages back.

I come in from the north side, heading straight to the military tents. Just to make sure the coast is clear I look back up north toward a small clump of trees with the binochulars, and there's a guy looking off at an angle with a sniper rifle, suddenly he turns straight towards me and in a split second I'm gone prone. **** he saw me, or maybe he didn't I'm not too sure. I stay down and crawl back towards towards the galvanised fence and to where the gap in the wire fence is. I figure he's not gonna let me live if he sees me and he's probably the same guy that nearly got Platinums. I take out the binochulars again and have a look and he's nowhere to be be seen. Fuck. I keep to the west of the bigger group of trees and head straight north and I'm thinking I'll be maybe able to flank him. I coming back down south towards the clump of tress where I last saw him, and there he is right at the then end still overlooking the tents. Go prone again and edge my towards him. I have a silenced MP5 so no one will hear me. I'm about a couple metres behind him, and suddenly he's gone prone too and vanishes. He disconnected.

I go back towards the tents, about to kill a zombie that spotted me and some douchebag opens up on me with an assault rifle.

This game is intense. I spawned near Elektro and ran into a friendly, we both had hatchets. We team up for a while killing some Zeds and always keeping an eye out for bandits.

Eventually we get to the hospital to get some supplies (I have about 7000 blood at this point) and as we're scavenging I hear a sniper round go off. "I'm down" says my new buddy, knowing that I have no way to defend myself I quickly shout into comms "Sorry man, I have to try and escape" so I run for the buildings to give myself some cover and end up getting to safety. I check my haul; Morphine, bloodbag and bandages but still no ammo for my empty revolver.

So I wander around carefully and end up in a house that gives me .45 ammo, hooray I can defend myself! I make it to the supermarket and go in the back, that way the sniper shouldn't be able to see me. Inside the supermarket I pick up a map, a watch, a water bottle and some canned food. I'm set, time to get the hell out of dodge.

Along the way I raid I firehouse and grab myself an MP5 with some ammo, see a tent in the middle of open ground. Obviously, I'm wary of this so I scout the area and see some movement on a nearby rooftop. Not good. I book it out and end up on the road heading north from Elektro with no more bandits nearby, I hope.

Love this game, it's so tense at times!

Damn.

Got my first *decent* gun, an AKS-47 Kobra, and when trying to make my way round some deer stands to stock up, got to the one between Pavlovo and Bor, a guy popped up out of one and shot me.

Enjoy the gun, whoever it was.
Hate the PVP stuff that's resulted in the shoot-first-ask-questions-when-they're-dead attitude/mentality.

Didn't even get a chance to shout friendly!

Good to see people enjoying it.

I had a great run that started with me sniping in Cherno for hours, where I helped a few friendly people and murdered a few hostiles. Then I found a map with some locations marked on it, so I ended up running all the way to the north east coast and killing some players there, raiding some tents.

Then I made my way West all the way to Stary and got some good stuff there. I found lots of dead players so there must have been some battle there, I am sorry I missed that!

I then went to the NW Airfield , searched the whole thing, and got an AKM, A Remington in the Czech bag and a decent pistol with plenty of ammo for each. I Got cocky with the zeds and ended up wounded pretty bad so I had to go North in search of animals to kill.

Took ages to hunt enough meat to cook and get my blood back up past 10k.

Then back to the NW Airfield which I was half way through searching again when I heard a big commotion, and theres some guy with a mob of zombies going after him, So I drop and start picking them off.

I kill some zombies and then the guys starts shooting at me! I get hit from behind by a zombie which KO's me.

By the time I come round I have 2K blood left and have to crawl to the nearest hanger, bleeding out.

While trying to get a bandage on the other player shows up and finishes me off. Nice game, Hope the other player enjoys the tasty weapons and ammo.

I also had another interesting experience I wanted to mention here. It was on some German server.

I was in Elektro and ran into some German dude who asked me not to shoot, and if I had blood and morphine. So I sorted him out with a blood pack and morphine and then he says he is going to meet his friends in the store.

So I agreed and we went to meet the friends. There were 4 of them (Including him). All armed with Assault rifles, except for one of them who had a crossbow.

So they say hello and ask me if I want to join them in taking over a particular area, I say yes and everything's grand for a while.

Next thing we get on top of this tall roof and they all turn and start shooting me! :eek:In a panic I fall backwards off the roof, and as I am laying there dieing they heal me and give me a blood transfusion!

I stand up and ask why did he do that?

He says that the other guys thought it would be funny to shoot me and heal me. So I am about to complain when they do it AGAIN!

After healing me, (And laughing and joking in German at my expense) I manage to duck away around a corner. I came out the other side of the building and BLEW THEM ALL AWAY to the sound of them all shouting "NO NO NO NO NO!" The best part was that It was with a Lee Enfield. 1,2,3,4. As they all started panicking.

It was VERY satisfying to get my revenge on four of them, plus I got the pick of all their weapons.:cool:

Incredibly dark sense of humour you have, but I can imagine the pure enjoyment gained from it.. them screaming in German.. Nien Nien! hahaha
