Looking at buying 4 of the above in 225/40 r18.
Continental Sport Contact 5 are coming in at €600 delivered via Camskill
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are coming in at €560
Bridgestone Potenza s001 I can get for €580.

Anyone have experience of these in 17 or 18"?

I usually stick with Bridgestone but I'm hearing bad things about the wear rate on the s001.

I have the PS3s on my car in that size. Wet and dry grip are brilliant, better than the previous Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric. only have about 4k on them so can't really comment on wear rate as yet.

I have 5p's on my car (I think they are the same as the 5's only they start at 19inch) and find them great, haven't run out of grip yet. There is a bit of road noise from them, but they are a lot quieter than the runflats I had on before them.

Did you have Asymmetric 1 or 2? The 2's seem to be almost universally acclaimed as being the best of the best, but they're €60 more than the PS3.

Mine were the older Goodyears. Might try the new pattern next. Have seen some impressive reviews of them alright.

for the ZT? Oil filter will be a tad closer to the ground, possibly too close on speed bumps.

I put two of these on the front of my bus back in February, very happy with them so far. Good grip in the wet and they are wearing well. The rears were a bit more expensive as they are wider with a lower profile:
