It will be important that Swansea set up in a way to get the best out of him the same way Rayo did though I think.

I agree, the UCL is nearly impossible to predict but they do have the tools to get to at least the round of 16 and if the draw is somewhat favourable they could go further. Although with their recent UEFA co-efficent they could get a tough group regardless as you mentioned, like City.

There could potentially be a group consisting of Barca, Man City, Juve and PSG.
The early stages could do with a marquee group like that in fairness. It tends to be a fairly tedious competition until the knockouts.

2mill seems like an amazing piece of business for a 26yr old striker who got 15 goals in one of the top leagues in Europe does it not? We missing a trick here?

He's an CM turned AM who can lead the line too. Played as an AM predominately. Was in the last year of his contract afaik. By far his most prolific season was last season.

I'm a big fan of his through betting. I was the only one betting on him for ages, when the bookies were underestimating him for so many months despite his form. I doubt they'll make a mistake with him this year :D Considering the season he had, he deserved a call up the national side for the Euros. While not shocked, was a tad disappointed he was never given a chance. Maybe post-Euros he will if he continues where he left off.

Tello has signed for Atleti £4.7M according to AS. He's been linked with Liverpool a fair bit recently.

Ade and other German league fans, how good is Tasci?

Being linked with Milan and his agent came out with this today.
“The player really loves the club and I must stress that since he was a child he dream has been to play for Milan,”

Only 25 and has a ton of experience but how good is he?

What we need more than anything is to own our own ****ing stadium, then we'd have an income stream to rival anyone.
What difference would having yer own stadium make? I thought stadium sharing is supposed to be very financially rewarding, sharing the construction costs for one. Bayern seem to be getting on fine sharing a stadium with a team far inferior to them.

Milan and Inter don't own the San Siro though, the city council do.

The only Italian club who won their stadium is Juve.

The rent for the San Siro is insane.

The Barca youngster? Surprised by that.

The City of Milan own the stadium so Milan pay rent to them, also the opportunity to make money through advertising and merchandising is much more limited.

I think, he is a solid defender, playing the main part of his career for VFB Stuttgart (since 2006/2007), decent number of appearances each season, and he was capped a few times for the German squad. Didn't win any national titles though recently, because he is not with Borussia Dortmund ;)

He's an experienced defender as you've said, played for all levels of the German national team from youth level up the senior team. He'll do a job for Milan, solid player and fairly composed but IMO, Milan could have done better.

What's the fee being mentioned out of interest?

Brazil's main sports site 'Globo Esporte' has confirmed that Oscar has been allowed to undergo the medical at #CFC and sign contract too.

    Getting closer

I say Barca have some buy back clause, just incase.

    No fee mentioned so far.
How much would you reckon he'd be worth?

Globo Esporte reckons #CFC will announce Oscar 'within the next few hours', the deal was agreed earlier today, according to them.

    I'm guessing this was Graeme's "stay tuned..." news;
    Graeme Bailey ‏@SkyGraemeBailey
Sky Sports understands Arsenal are in receipt of a number of offers for captain Robin van Persie. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/7908857/Arsenal-receive-RVP-offers-

No quotes, just a "skysports understands" story.

I'd **** my pants of it turned out Milan were one of the teams bidding for RVP...

11 Million quid, according to the German website 'transfermarkt.de'. They are quite accurate, when it comes to a player's price tag.

Aye, I can see Tello rejoining Barca in the next 4-5 as they did with Fabregas.

Ah that's hard to say given how little I know of his current situation. As I said, there are far better defenders out there that I feel Milan given the money they are bringing in with the sales of Silva and Ibra should be looking at. Mbiwa at Montpeiller springs to mind immediately.

That Tello story has been rubbished

Sure they'll only offer £5m and get laughed at.

Lodeiro, one of the stars of the Copa America winning Uruguay side last summer. Well he'll be joining Botafogo from Ajax after the Olmypics. Surprised at that somewhat, though things haven't gone smoothly for him in Europe so far, still a very talented youngster.

Reports that Newcastle have offered 4mil for Douglas (FC Twente)

"One of the stars" is pushing it a little, think he only started the opener(draw with Peru) if memory serves me right!

Excellent whenever he was on the pitch during the Copa, and many in Uruguay were pushing for him to start.

Arsenal have reportedly [Sky] agreed a deal to buy M'Baye Niang from AS Caen.

Fits the AW bill; expensive could-be-anything kid. Walcott replacement? :pac:

AVB chatting to Hulk last night in London of course all the "ITKs" are all over it!

I'd imagine that's Sandro hiding behind AVB's head.
