tbh I didnt think helicopters were banned and I dont think they should be. If they're very rare and difficult to repair then including them would make it interesting.

Not banned just only available on certain servers, ours is not one of them.

How it came to be there is that it was spawned via a hack/script. Villain will send the guids to the dayz admin group and they will be banned.

Well the helicopter was found there, with a rotor and with fuel? We certainly didn't spawn it in.

I was in this guy's group, the helicopter only needed one jerry can and no repairs had to be made. On top of that, it was just sitting on the pier on Drakon so I thought there was something fishy about it. Felt good to get a look at the coast from up above though, I was devastated when the server reset.

NOTE ON IE1

There are no planes or Helicopters on IE1, if you use one you will be banned from the server and your GUID and IP will be sent to the DayZ admins for global ban. No excuses you will be banned.

Ah well, whoever killed me got some nice gear. Coyote Backpack, NV Goggles, M16A4 ACOG, lots of ammo and supplies.

Teaches me right for trying to help others. In the hills beside Electro sniping those who kill the newly spawned. Got too close to the town and someone with a handgun got me from behind.

Not too bothered, I suppose all the fun is building up your gear, once you have a good setup there's not much to do but kill others.

Wait, so is using it against the rules or just hacking it into the server illegitimately? We just found it on a pier, there was no foul play involved.

Im guessing both hacking it in or just using it if you manage to find one will get you banned in the future.

At least until there legitimately enabled on the server.

I rejoined the server I was one on the off change my body was there with something worthwhile still on it, got to the area and was instantly killed while only carrying a flashlight. ****!

As a new player who's only been playing since Saturday, I actually like the PVP aspect of the game. Just take your time lads, and give things A LOT of observation. Scan roofs, hills, streets, windows, anything for signs of movement.

And if you get a gun, then join in on the open season

When you spawn, dont immediately run into a big town like cherno. There are plenty of weapons and stuff outside towns in barns and farms etc.

Just had my first run through the NW airfield. Managed to get in, grab a DMR and an L85A2 AWS and get back out without firing a shot. All with at least 3 bandits I saw and another 2 who had a gunfight after the first lot DC'ed.

Hawkeye you ejit you had your PTT on. I heard someone typing on their keyboard and hopped off my bicycle and saw you running to some tree's. I was only about 20 feet behind you.

Been playing this game for a afew days now and the only weapons ive found are a winchester without any ammo and a crowbar. Where are all the weapons?

As a rule you'll only find pistols in the towns, the odd Lee Enfield in larger buildings 'like Fire Stations) and shotguns in barns.

Travel north and head for the deer stands for better weapons (MP5 etc...) and the military areas for the more high-powered items.

m240 suffered being in a tent that got flattened unfortunately, already had some gear so I hope someone gets lucky and finds a coyote on the ground, make someones day.

No jets should never spawn there not even in the mod. Hueys should eventually when they get enabled on all of the servers be waiting a while for that though.

what a disastrous day.

Lost a tractor, a UAZ, got killed, weapons in a tent didnt save, server crashed and lost a mk48, got stuck inside a collapsed building and its raining.

ahwell...it is an alpha after all...

People who pick up and use hacked ****...do you not read the official forum and/or other sources of information regarding this game?

Im always stunned when people claim they never knew about NOT using this stuff as it inevitably will end up costing them money having their GUID banned from the master server *facepalm*
