Nope. I was the guy in the NW airfield firestation. I just got killed by zombies now anyway.

Took a shot at someone just now about 3 minutes ago I think the name was Samp as he's still in the lobby but it could be someone who logged off entirely. Body just disappeared though so it could've been him.

Where was this?, someone just took a few shots at me in a deer stand and i ended up legging it.

No idea where he was, ended up with a sprain and very low blood. I hate that stage of blood loss where your screen fades in and out, very annoying to play like that. I usually end up performing suicide by zombie when that happens me as i never find enough tools to hunt my own meat for more blood. I'm a lone wolf too so blood pack is out of the question.

Well thanks for logging bro. You can try and change the subject but you were prone in the dirt facing towards me and then you vanished after I shot at you at the deer hut. Hating that stage of blood loss etc etc is no excuse for logging off when you're under attack.

I didn't log off there, i went prone in the deer hut when you started firing yes, looked around while prone in cover in the deer hut for a few minutes, couldn't see you anywhere so i waited for you to stop firing and then i ran off into the trees.

I dunno where you get the idea of me prone in the dirt, i was up in that hut the whole time until i bolted into the trees.

I actually ran south and looted the other deer hut at the other side of the hill after and everything, the mods can verify all that if you really want.

Yeh I was to the south you ran into into the trees, went prone and then logged off. You've been caught dude. Own it.

I dunno if your view was bugged or it was the close to night time thats confusing you or i was desync'd or what but i'm telling you, i never went prone when i ran down off the deer hut. I ran into the trees for a good 100m until i felt safe enough to bandage myself, then alt tabbed to look at the map and get my bearings, then i ran to the opposing deer hut and looted a soda can. Then i ran into the trees again, realized how dark it was, thanked my lucky stars i was still alive after that engagement and logged off.

You were nowhere near me when i finally did log off, well, maybe you were i dunno, still have no idea where you were during all that. But you were not shooting me when i did finally log off thats for sure.

And yet again.. the mods will confirm this if you really do insist and they can be arsed doing looking up the logs (though ive no idea how detailed the logs are)

For the record, the south is through the trees, into the forest. http://www.dayzdb.com/map#6.038.109 The engagement i was in took place at that northern deer hut.

Ok no worries man. I'm sure Villain can just check the logs and match it to whoever it was if it wasn't you then. From my original post it was about 3 minutes prior. As I said in that post there was a guy in the lobby called Samp who it may have been but server logs will probably show a more accurate reading of who it would've been.

Well if thats the same deer hut i linked in the map that you were at too then i doubt there was a 3rd guy there.

My nick ingame is "Saracen" as well so you could have just gotten the start of my name and mistakenly thought it was "Samp" somehow. But still overall i logged a good bit later after that engagement when i was safe, all i can say about that.

I have NV goggles and could see perfectly. But yeh it could have been a different deer hut at the exact same time where two people were getting shot at at the same time and both people who got shot at ran for tree cover at the exact same time too. Out of the 6 people on the server at the time 4 of them must have been engaged in the exact same scenario at 2 different locations at the same time if it wasn't you that is.

Amazing stuff. Not to mention I just posted when the guy logged off after I shot at him and you were immediately talking about having just logged off after being shot at.

Anyway Villain can have a look in the morning. I'm not bothered either way, I'm just reporting I shot at a guy at that time and he ran and logged right as I was watching him. It's against the server rules so whoever it was, Villain will hopefully deal with it as he has with others who've done the same.

Had great fun in Cherno last night ! Recently got my mate into this and was showing him the ropes. We must have gotten about 10/15 kills in and around the cafe beside the lobby.

Moved down the road to the other cafe and when we decided to move onto the medic camp we were shot at. No idea where from so legged it back to the cafe. Whoever it was must have been in the cafe aswell as I was shot while covering the stairs lol..

Got blown the **** up there yesterday after some random bad luck...

I found a red UAZ in Myshkino, drove the whole way to NEAF to pick up 2 friends. On the way back to collect the fourth person (in Zelenogorsk) while driving through Dubravka we noticed some z'ds had already been spawned. I decided to pull over to the forest so we could get out and clear the area before driving through.

Big mistake, I drove right into the location of 3 other players

The following was lost.

My 10 day old character with nearly 25 kills/bandit kill, and 600 z kills. 4xnvg's, 4xguille suits, 4xgps, 4xrangefinders, 1xAs50,1x Bison SD, 3xM4a3 cco SD, 3xm9 sds, 1xm107, 1xm14 aim, 2x coyote backpacks, a trunk full of medical supplies / 10 jerry cans / spare parts for car, about 15 stanag sd rounds.

The guys weren't geared either - I got insta-headshot as I left the car.

I hope they have as much fun as we did with the new gear Gear up, and wreck Cherno time again!

Edit: 4xgps... god damn I miss gps...

Is it possible to turn off friendly fire on the server? Just to try it out? Losign that kind of loot in the game would probably make me quit for good...

AFAIK, Freindly fire is can't be disabled. Plus it's all part of the game's design.

So Dayz seems to have evolved to a pure PVP game. Zombies not even mentioned now.
Im guilty myself, I killed 5 humans yesterday in cherno. A case of you got the drop on them so shoot.

Im not saying this is a good/ bad thing but I would like to the see the environment/Zombies present more danger and have to be considered more than at the moment. I spent the whole day around cherno yesterday, not bothered one jot by zeds. Its just become a slow paced sniper death-match, the zeds are becoming pointless.

Dont get attached to your gear, i only carry a M4 CCO and bullets now.


FYI the M134 Rocket Launcher when selected doesnt appear in your hands but actually is, so be very careful with your next shot as even tho you are holding your rifle. A frikkin rocket is about to launched.

Game was always going to be PVP as long as people are playing it.

I think it has just evolved to the point were people don't trust people they don't know. So they kill rather than have the chance of being killed. I'm guilty of it, most of us probably are.

Then there are the players that go for the PvP kill, the hatchet kamikaze's, the bandit snipers, etc. But I think they are only about 30-40% of the player base.

The only time I am ever truly annoyed about being killed by another player, is when they go out of their way to kill you, without regard for their own character. I've been killed a few times by people being mauled by Z's.
