Ive a Shimano 105 11-25, 10 speed cassette on my road bike that I use for triathlons. I would like to upgrade so I have more power. What would people recommend?

    For more power? New legs.

A new cassette won't give you more power. You need new legs for that.

If you want a smaller jump between gears then go for an 11-23 or 11-21. If you want lower gears so you can get up hills easier go for a 12-27 or something like that.

Thanks fro the reply guys. New legs its is then! What would the benefits of 11-23 or 11-21 be? Is it just smoother/faster gear change?

If you're absolutely on the rivet and very fussy about cadence, it can help to have very small jumps between gears.

I've never done a triathlon but I suspect if you're going that hard (super-threshold effort) you won't be able to run afterwards unless you can spare a few minutes to lie down in T2.

You get to score hotter women with an 11-21.

    Have you tried 53/39?

Real men have odd chainrings ;) They last longer, go further every time you push and are just that bit bigger
