    Today I got :
slim ps2 with all the cables 3 controllers and 2 official memory cards
    1 schp 1002 (audiophile) Ps1, in a bit of a state
    1 RGB PSX cable
an odd sort of tomytronic thing called airforce i-combat
a 9v psu that works with an atari VCS
and a load of ps2 games
Metal gear solid 3, R Racing,Dragon Quest Journey of the Cursed King,,Saint Seiya: The Hades, simpsons hit and run, GT4, Burnout revenge , test drive and some shovelware.
downside is two drives later and several shocks (dont touch caps on a live console folks) the ps1 still isnt quite working , and the 3d game is either very finicky about batteries or needs to be opened up and fixed
One of my spare psx drives wasnt in great shape , and I've a horrible feeling I knackered up the other one during the transfer, so I'll try again in a few days...

So much for a chill out weekend.
Just down the country and called to a guys house who had a few retro bits to sell. I've now got one of my famous suitcase loads of retro goodness to bring up to Dublin tonight :)

Pics later or maybe tomorrow. It's mostly C64 games, boxed N64 games and a few other bits.

Where was it? Did a good few hours of driving myself today but sadly I'm not coming home with a suitcase of general retro.

I was down visiting the family outside of Athy and got wind of a guy who I should meet a few miles away who has some retro gear to clear out.

Quick preview of the stuff. There is actually an Amiga 500 plus under that lot as well as a SNES and other stuff. Not sure if they're working or not but they were included for free so no harm.

    Click for biggie

There's also a bunch of stuff in plastic bags not pictured.

    Edit:
I'm just going through this lot now. There's 77 C64 games of which 74 are boxed with inlay etc.
Few nice C64 games in this bunch actually.

Actual suitcase of stuff, extra points. I live in athy, the only thing ive ever seen down here is gold earings and women driving pink cars. the car booth usually consists of rusty horse shoes and travellers selling microwaves. :pac::pac:

Here's a few pics of today's haul. I didn't take a pic of everything but this is the main stuff. Everything needs a really good clean as this stuff has been up in an attic for ages.

Click the pics for much bigger versions

The main stuff including mint boxed GBC(really mint this is), the A500 plus, mint condition Psion Series 5(box is a little worn and I already have one of these but it was so cheap I had to have it), some Amiga games that are all CIB and mostly in good condition. And some other bits and pieces in there as well.
    dsc1813b.jpg

    Amiga Games:
    dsc1817bv.jpg

    C64 1:
    dsc1821b.jpg

    C64 2:
    dsc1822b.jpg

    C64 3:
    dsc1823b.jpg

    C64 4:
    dsc1824b.jpg

    C64 5:
    dsc1825bb.jpg

Some really nice games in this C64 batch and a few I've really been after for a while for my collection like "Tau Ceti", "Uridium", "Thunder Blade" and "Cabal".

N64 (all CIB, some boxes need a little work to clean and fix then up a bit but all the carts are mint):
    dsc1827b.jpg

And that's the bulk of it. There's also loads of boring cables and power supplies and some other stuff but i think that's enough pics for this particular retro haul.

Box from Japan sitting on my desk - I can only assume it contains a 3DO/N64/NeoGeo CD :) No customs hassles either...

Steve SI, do you always keep an empty suitcase in the back of your car just in case you hear of retro goodies?:)

Well, for one I wasn't driving so all that retro goodness came back with me on the train to Dublin and bus to Shankill (it was damn heavy as I also brought an old luggable Amstrad 386 "laptop" home with) :)
As for the suitcase, I always have one or two of them in the parents house just in case I need to move some stuff around when I'm in the area.

It wasn't the most relaxing trip home with all that stuff but all those years of doing weights helped, but unfortunately the more recent years of eating pies did not :D

These arrived in the post earlier.
I've been looking for a nice condition copy of Jetstrike CD32 for a long time and I got this one at a decent price.
The seller also had the other games and they were unused so I said I'd have then as well as the prices were cheap and the postage was more or less the same for 1 or 4 items.
The discs are all unused and in mint condition except for Jetstrike which is used and near mint.

Just paid for a book, 4 days after I buyed it now, and I'm very excited. It's Game of Thrones in hardback and it's the UK edition. If it turns out to be a first edition, first printing I might leak and then I'll probably Reek!
Having insane luck with first edition books lately, as I hit two other low run books in first edition and mint for a fraction of the price. One was even signed by the author! Blade Itself and Quantum Thief if anyone is interested.

Oh yeah and I'm waiting on two games as well. Tales of Symphonia and Outrun.

Whenever Outrun is mentioned, I must immediately know what format its on. Its inexplicable, but such is life in the land of Outrun fanaticism

Just found that my Homura for the PS2, coming from Italy, has only been shipped today, despite being paid for 2 weeks ago.
Not only that, it's coming Fed Ex, so I'll have some questions to answer when someone has to sign for it in work.... bugger!
