I really hope we are going to see significantly more transfer activity. We spent big last year, but we spend badly, so most of those positions still need to be improved. I really hope there's a couple of players in the £20m bracket on the way...

I hope so we still look short in quality upfront and outwide

Get ready to be disappointed then.

Even if players did arrive in that price bracket, it doesn't necessarily mean they are any good.

Yes, I am looking at you Downing, you useless sh*thouse...

Should have said 'genuine' £20m players. Downing was never in that bracket and never will be.

I highly doubt players in the £20m bracket will be arriving let alone one player.

But having seen in recent weeks how BR opperates in the transfer market if by some act of god we did get that sort of money, I would be entirely confident the gaffer would buy quality.

Id say out of Kenny's siginings, Charlie Adam might be the only one.

If it was down to me I would try and offload:

    Aqua
    Joe Cole
    spearing

I hope we sign Walcott, he's a much bigger threat than Suarez.

    You are joking right?

I would like for LFC to sign walcott though.

I dont agree with the "he has no end product" debate, although it does need improving, and as I said I would like for Liverpool tosign him, defo.

But I seriously disagree with your comment about him being a bigger threat then suarez. And that link you sent is BS. Suarez deserves the praise he gets and also the criticism he recieves.

    Sigh.

If he is 1/4 as useful as Carragher, we are quids in.

    That sh*t is depressing.

I think signing walcott would hamper the development of sterling. Also the fact that his decision making is terrible would also be a no for me

If Walcott's brain could work as fast as his legs he'd be a brilliant player. For 10m or so he'd be a good signing but can't imagine Arsenal letting him go for that unless he has refused to sign a new contract rather than it being an ongoing negotiation.

What's wrong with Robinho(apart from his aversion to scoring from two yards) ?

He's cost me money, a fair amount over time. Once ruining one of my very rare accums that I do, which would have won me a four figure amount in the past but for not choking and missing a sitter in the dying minutes a couple of seasons ago now.

Betting aside, in general I think he's a bit of a numpty, and I've long thought that before his move to City. Talented sure, but a numpty... and yes, I could use far stronger words than numpty. I just simply do not rate him as highly as some (yourself?) do.

In saying that, my dislike for Robinho and Walcott is nothing compared for to what I could say about my dear pal Robben :)

That thread is hilarious. Furthermore shows up the typical anti-LFC tools in the SF.

Walcott has entered the last year of his contract.
It was being suggested by some that signing a new contract would be linked to the RVP situation.

Im not so sure about that. If Sterling is good enough its up to him to prove it and show it.

So if we're only going to be signing 4 players over the summer like Rodgers said who would you be happy to see come in?
With Borini in now we only have 3 more to get, from the names being thrown around I would like to see

    Dempsey
    Ramírez
    Kuba

Would like to see Aqua stay, as well as Andy, Cole can go and let us keep our cash. With the amount of players off loaded last summer as well as 2 high wage players leaving this summer so far, Kuyt + Maxi, I don't see how we don't have a nice kitty to spend, couple that with the revenue we get from Warrior for the Kit deal, all the deals we have signed with companies so they can use the LFC name worldwide, surely some of this money has been made available?

I agree but it would limit his opportunities more so

I would welcome the signing of Walcott on his day he can be a serious threat and would bring an element of pace that we currently lack. Admittedly he is also one of the most frustrating players in the world.

Kuba would be a brilliant player, but I'm not aware of any rumours, that he is leaving Borussia Dortmund yet.

Sky Sports has learned that Andy Carroll does not want to leave Liverpool on a permanent basis and would only reluctantly consider a loan move.

Why would they do that? Have they not completely changed their style of play since they sold Carroll?
