sounds excellent but Debenhams Plus? sounds a bit dodge tho? Excellent bargain if all goes well.

I know but they seem to have a nice looking website and they have customer support and 7 day return and all the usual good stuff so how bad can it be.

Other stores often have a price match policy, see will anyone of the B&M stores match or beat the price.

I bought the TV on Debenhams and saw online that Panasonic are doing a 5 year warranty promotion so rang back and was told that it didnt cover online tv sales!

I then discovered Direct TVs UK website which has the same Irish phone number as Debenhams.ie and they were offering the 5 year warranty on there website on the TV.

Rang them back puzzled how Debenhams and Direct TV have the same Irish number and yet the warranty offer on was not available to me, was told I would have to post the tv to the UK even though the panasonic warranty promotion is available in Ireland.

Anyway within 30 seconds he offered to cancel the order so I obliged.

Awaiting Debenhams customer service to come back to me about the warranty promotion as if its available in Ireland I will purchase it again.

Excellent tv which has received rave reviews .
Bear in mind it has a fairly reflective surface though (no filter) so may not be suitable for a bright room .
    Otherwise a good buy.

my viewing posistion has a large floor to ceiling window behind. Without a filter, I presume this would be an issue only if light was shining on it only, so lack of filter in my tv position should not impact picture quality yeah?

The Model up the 42ST is €895 from Sams Yer Man they are up north but deliver down here by the looks of it. Tempted by this model now , emailed Richer Sounds earlier to see what price they can do on it.

well LED is really lcd with led backlighting instead of CCFL.
Plasma seems to be the way to go if you want decent blacks and motion.

Just FYI - the price for that TV is over €1000... the €895 euro rate is just a 'guideline' and is well wide of the mark based on an old exchange rate maybe. You pay £810 which is around €1030
