    I am offended.

I have been an investment banker since I graduated from UCD !

Just because I am handsome, handsomely paid & a lady killer does not give you the right to generalise that us stylish execs are all dickheads.

It's paupers like you with sh*t jobs that give the majority of the common man a bad name !

Scummy, useless, greedy, defrauding, manipulating, managerial inept and incompetent, lowlife fúckwits. But to associate Satan with bankers? Dude give Satan a break.

“Bankers own the earth; take it away from them but leave them with the power to create credit; and, with a flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again... If you want to be slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers control money and control credit.”

    - Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1940.

“The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you never know if they are genuine.”

    - Abraham Lincoln.

i always find it moderately amusing to ask people who roll out the "i hate bankers, they're all cnuts" line to define what a banker is

try it some time, it's gas

In other countries they mean investment bankers usually. Since there are no investment bankers in Ireland some people do get confused.

I never get why people see banks as institutions. They are money making businesses. They're not out for the common good nor should they be.

First they came for the socialists...

I imagine Banking is a machine which turns on rules that nobody has a real say in ....you do your job or go home .Governments are there to appoint the rule makers but the fellah sitting at his desk or in front of a monitor does his job and no more .That's as much as i understand it .Very few people in Banking make decisions .Banks Fail because governments fail to put correct mechanisms in place and those mechanisms have to be watched .They were'nt .

Evil? As an atheist I can't really agree but something is wrong with them alright.
Greedy ***** are what they are anyway, with no regard for human suffering.

    Greed is not good.

What does being an atheist have to do with anything? :pac:
You dont have to be religious to use the word evil ...

I know quite a few people who work for different banks, and tbh they're just ordinary people the same as you or I. Maybe when you get to a level where you can influence bank and/or government policy you start to turn evil, but the other 99% of bankers are just trying to pay their bills like the rest of us.

They still are morally responsible for what happens though. Just because it is a minor role doesn't mean that it isn't important.

But the religious view is that evil is ingrained in the person or forced on a person. The sensible view is that people have different morals depending on how they were brought up/their personality, unless they're a sociopath or something. I don't believe anyone is truly evil.

Of course they're evil. Bad, bad men as opposed to good - a theory is the abandoning of religion, as is the current climate n the moral code religion also sadly laid claim to but did instill may be to blame for a lot of the needy's ills - most, of society's ills but these guys never had morals to begin with
