All depends on what stone and colour you're looking for. Best to use a chipped stone and avoid pebble as the latter never compact/lock-in. Prices can vary widely depending on stone, size etc. Some savings can also be made by ordering stone 'loose' ie not in bags.

Ring around the various Builders providers in the area, although range can be limiting. You can also try Natural Stone Yard in Ashbourne who as the name might suggest, carry a wide range of different stones.

Apart fronm Roadstone in Feltrim you have the following places for stone/chippings in bulk.

    Heiton Buckleys in Santry
    Chadwicks in Coolock
    Newton Builders Providers in Coolock
    Grange Builders Providers in Baldoyle

Theres also a speciliast stone and concrete shop and factory in behind the GAA Club up at Balgriffin Graveyard.

They have a wide range of gravels and stones to choose from.

They also make concrete blocks and wall/pier cappings too.

Theres also a company called "The Sandman" in Rathdrum.
They stock a wide range of materials and gravels/chippings.
They advertize on DoneDeal in the building materials section and also the gardening section too.

    Best of luck.:)
