Do American ministers travel all over the world today, like our lot do on St Patrick's Day ?

If so, which one came to Ireland ?

Hopefully not their minister for the Gaelteacht - Nobody here would have a clue what he was saying ?

Can't believe it is 206 years since the ship The Irish Rover set sail from Cork. What a sad fate that endured*

Celebrating Rwandan liberation day and the end of the Rwandan genocide is indeed an important event.

It's been a while since I've been in Dublin on 4th July (like over a decade), but do they still do the fireworks?

If the Americans used their stupid way of using dates (month/day/year), it should really be happy July the 4th.
Same goes for the movie, Born on July the 4th.

Are we sure the ship struck the rock on the same day it set sail? That might have happened on the 5th or 6th

Didn't it set sail in 1806, sail for 7 years and then sink.... so 199 years ago?

As we all seem to be going off fading memories, I think someone's going to have to rustle up the full lyrics to the Irish Rover

Thanks to all the yanks for this day because without it we wouldn't have this epic movie, enjoy your day and watch it:

We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Lads, have a bit of respect. It's July 4th, Independence Day! On this day, let's all take a moment to recognize the sacrifice of the men who died helping Bill Pullman fight those aliens.
