I'm not going to get into another debate about what's police business and what isn't, but I've a couple of friends who are Gardai and I know exactly what they'd say if I asked them what would happen if someone arrived at the public desk in their station to make a complaint about an anonymous threat made on a dating website that isn't even hosted in Ireland.

    But we'll agree to disagree.

Right, well that's me put in my place.

i really wish those calorie counting websites would put up a picture beside the calories of what exactly they are measuring
apparently my little petit pain mini bread roll whatever the bejaysus it's called could be anywhere from 72 to 200cals

it's not the end of the world but a general idea would be nice...

I'd say it could be up on 200...a regular slice of bread is about 84 and those rolls, even the tiny ones, are much higher in calories:(

Has anyone here ordered UPC online, and if so, how long do they take to call you back/send out the stuff?

Going a little stir crazy with no tv or internet at home....

What happened your internet and tv :)?

Possibly....depends on the soup and if there's cream in it etc...

However, a sandwich or soup and a roll are decent, balanced and healthy lunch options. Go forth and enjoy:cool:

So my Dad just called, my uncle was brought into hospital this morning, apparently for two months he hasn't been able to keep any meal down and has lost 5 stone in those two months...he was very thin anyway. While Dad was in hospital with him (my uncle lives alone in my Nan's old house and is almost blind and very, very lonely, breaks my heart) they got a call from the hospital my Nan is in, saying she was anointed this morning because they think she's dying :( So poor Dad and his other brother don't know what to do now, they don't know what's wrong with my uncle, this sounds awful but we're not overly worried about my Nan because they've been called 4 times in the last two years to say she's dying, then we go see her and she's grand, it's like the boy who cried wolf at this stage!

So yeah, have to wait and see, the only "good" thing is I'm off from 1pm Saturday until Monday morning so would have time to go down home if I have to, usually I get the calls about Nan when I'm up to my eyes midweek and couldn't leave. Next week is the one week I'm working Monday and Tuesday though, here's hoping they are both fine :(

Always always stay away from bread.

But bread is so yummy! I eat wholegrain so don't feel overly bad about it, a slice of white toast once a year is my biggest treat.

I realised recently how much bread I used to eat...since the baby has been born I don't have time for my multiple teas and toast every day...I buy one baguette a week (half goes i n the freezer, and it is still only 3/4 eaten by the end of the week...I used to buy 3 or 4 every week before!!!! (and always eat it with butter!)

I ate a slice of white bread for the first time in years the other week at my nephews communion I'd nearly forgotten what it tasted like.

@Lucyfur - Even with the grant I don't think I could afford it. If I could get the grant with something else to help me along I could scrape by but AFAIK you can't get both BTEA and a grant at the same time. :(

@Acoshla - hope your uncle and your nan will be okay. x
