Brand New Turtle Beach XL1; Audio & Mic Not Working.

    I am so annoyed right now.

    I just got a brand new pair of Turtle Beach XL1 headset.

    I followed the manual and set it up as it said to.

    The game volume works (ie, I can hear the game.)

    The chat volume is full and I cannot hear my friends. My mic is not working (and, I have it on!).

    Can anyone offer help, please?

    I am fuming. These cost just under €40, and they don't f-ing work.

    Do you have the volume cable to correct way around?
    Do you have the chat volume on the xbox settings up?
    Is your controller faulty?

    Yes, I do.

    I do.

    No. I checked my old headset (the one that came with the Xbox) and it worked fine.
