Is it True? Tramore a cruising area?

Hi i was speaking to someone recently and i was made aware that Tramore strand was a Gay cruising area Im not from around here and i think i was being lied to my friend was telling me im sure they are taking the piss, I was told to be careful around the toilets of an evening?? surely not?

I thought as much, I was told that of an evening its a pick up area and i couldnt believe it, I go for walks sometimes in the evening and have never seen anything dodgy!
