I'm getting a laptop for university next year (I'm going to do an engineering course).

I'm pretty much set on getting a Lenovo Thinkpad T430

My limit is around €1300. At the moment I'm quibbling over what i5 to get. It's costing €1390 at the moment with an Intel Core i5-3360M Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)

However, if I settle for a Intel Core i5-3320M Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz) I can save €60. If I settle for Intel Core i5-3210M Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz) I can save €150.

I don't mind going over budget if the extra bit of power is worth it, but would I notice a difference?

Also, it costs €30 for a backlit keyboard. Are they much use?
