Both teams from our group in the final.

Ireland's performance doesn't seem so bad now.

I have been putting a few quid on Germany every week since October, I have about 30-35 dockets to get rid of now, just let me grieve for ten mins and I'll see you on the brightside then :p

He has a point, with a little bit more luck and some better refereeing we may have done much better........like only ended up with a -7 goal difference :pac:

Don't see many goals in the final, both teams have very good defences and world class goalkeepers. Might be worth backing both teams to win on penos (I think it's usually about 8/1 for a team to win in the shootout)

I thought Italy's defence last night was magnificent, as much as I wanted Germany to score it never looked like happening (until the handball). If there's one thing the Italians love it's defending a lead and it was great to see them celebrating a last ditch tackle like a goal near the end.

Will be in Spain for the final so hoping for a Spain win! The atmosphere was so intense here for the semi's, they truly went insane after their win! Fireworks and everything! :)

Why do players get a yellow card for taking off their shirt? The risk of overciting the wimminz (and a few of the menz)? Making the rest of us with the curved bellys nature intended look odd?

It's because when a player scores a goal, that's when the sponsors on the shirt are seen most be the TV audience, and some sponsors claim that it's a breach of contract.

What's more provocative and unruly about it than any other self indulging goal celebration?

I looked it up and its apparently classed as "time wasting", from what I can gather. According to Wiki, Sepp Blatter made the yellow for it mandatory, which sez a lot.

Apparently the Irish are going to be given a special award for the support that their fans showed at the Euros. Platini will travel to Dublin to present it
