    Having the following

Left Hand 400 Pound Monkey IPA
    Sierra Nevada Northern+Southern Hemisphere
    Comeragh Challenger
    Mix of Brewdog beers

Any opinions on Left Hand and the Comeragh challenger ?

In a post previously I mentioned I had a bottle of it and couldn't drink it.
Shortly after I tried it on cask in the Black Sheep and thought it was ok.
A couple of days ago I was given a bottle of it, tried it again and couldn't drink it.

Both bottles where left in the fridge for at least 24hrs and should have been well settled and both bottles where pouring large chunks of yeast before half the beer was poured. The Challenger in the bottle seems to just carry a strong yeasty funk that the cask managed to avoid. It is supposedly an 'elegent and understated ale' which it isn't from the bottle but is from the cask. TBH I reckon the bottles didnt turn out as they should have.

Where can you buy that in Ireland actually? :p

nowhere that I'm aware of, i got it in ASDA in Strabrane.

It's lovely chilled but I had a single 440ml can last night and I have a hangover like I was drinking a diageo drink.

Just picked up a bottle of Comeragh Challenger for a little taste this evening.

I have been given a free Guinness black lager to try so might try that first.

I was in Tesco in Maynooth this evening and the offer is over.
Also, the shelf space for all those beers has been drastically reduced.
The only good news was that there was still plenty of Clotworthy Dobbin left and I'm about to tuck into one!!

The shelf labels in my local store refer to 17 / 7 / 2012.

17/07 as stated on Tesco.ie so all shops should be extending it.

Dungarvan Comeragh Challenger had a bottled version and loved it.

I love the floral hop flavour so much. Gives it a proper bitter taste. Reminds me of my time in England trying local bitters.

So was in Tesco today. Signs say 17/7. Also, now cider is in the 5 for €10. It includes JW Lees Cider and Badger cider. And others obviously. They also have Aspalls for €3 a bottle.

Went to Probus off licence today and picked up some Brewdog Hardcore IPA, Punk IPA and 5am Saint, some St Peter's Cream Stout and some Comeragh Challenger. Looking forward to trying the Cream Stout and the Comeragh in particular, as I haven't had them before.

Started off in the Brew Dock for lunch with Sierra Nevada Bigfoot before moving on to Stormy Port (Galway Bay Brewery) then (same brewery) Red ale and then on to Brewdog 5am saint. Moved on to Boojum for a Burrito Dinner with Brooklyn black chocolate stout and then to moms to look after dog. Dropped in to offie and picked up 2 of each of a German doppelbock (swingtop) and also more 5am saint (I'm a fan). I'm just about finished with the last of it (5am).
Good day, I'm on call and had one before lunch which made me €75 so paid for the day with interest.

The Galway Bay Red is one of the blandest beers I've ever had.

They recently changed brewer and I really hope he can make something of that beer in the near future.

Had 2 great beers yesterday, first is "9" by mad hatter brewery and the second was "East india pale ale" by brooklyn brewery, fantastic beers! Picked em up in probus wines.

I had their Pale Ale in 'Against the Grain' - terrible.

Had a bottle of Kwak last night (without the invented glass!). Really hides its 8.4% very well as it's very drinkable. Quite sweet, but a lovely bready-fruity beer. Couldn't drink too many of them (particularly at that ABV) but a damn fine occasional beer and one I'll add to the shopping list in future.

Drinking a bottle of Left Hand - 400 Lb. Monkey. Whoever said this is bad needs their head checked, it's an exceptional IPA. Nice citrus hops and with a clean bitter finish, good beer.

I've just delete a couple of posts. If you want to give/receive/comment on diet advice - do it in an appropriate forum. Not here. That is off-topic for this thread/forum.

Delirium Tremens is one of my favourites. I can only have about 2 if I'm having a few with it because it kicks me in the head after that. They had posters for in Against The Grain, but they were all out when I asked for one.

Well porterhouse has it now, yeah having it now, really good beer, about normal ABV of my usual drinks so I am sure I could have a few. It must be called "shaking frenzy" for a reason.

Local Tesco is now showing 17/07 as the end of the 5 for €10 offer as advised by some posters here

I'll definitely get some Belfast Lager & Fuller's Honey Dew. I've never seen them elsewhere for 2 quid a go. No O'Hara's alas

Jaysus Saruman, what on earth do you work at that would accommodate a callout after that varied feed of beer of a Saturday
