Just be careful you're not reaching for a lute during sexytimes, cause that could end painfully :pac:

Anyone got any ideas as to where I could get a mug with a penguin on it or something penguin themed in town over the next three evenings?!

Also recommendations for a cheap bottle of champagne and/or chocolates would be appreciated

Why don't you make a penguin mug in one of those printing places? I got one made a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday for €20, and it came out brilliant :D

Chocolates: Ferrero Rocher - absolutely delicious.

Cheap champagne: Prosecco - you can get it in Dunnes, Tesco, Supervalu, Lidl, Aldi etc, in Dunnes it is around €7 a bottle and it's lovely.

Dunnes have an offer on (I think it's still going on, though I could be wrong), if you buy six bottle you get 25% off or 25% back in valueclub vouchers.

I just rang Fás about the two courses I have my name down for and they said I can do both.

There is two of the three week courses and the lady said I might be given a place on the later course and then I can transfer over to the ten week course when the three week course ends :D

    De-fricking-lighted!

Cannot wait for them to start :D

I actually much prefer prosecco to champagne anyway.

I saw my new datey guy last night. I think I might be smitten :o

    I really didn't want/need/expect this!

Oh I don't wanna go weigh myself.. :o

Just worked out that I'm not going to have very much money this week. I'm going to be stopped a day in my dole which doesn't help and I have to pay for bf's birthday present and pay my mam etc. Going to end up with roughly 30 euro, if not less, to do me until I collect my social welfare next week.

That always happens. I met this fella when I had sworn off men and he had sworn off women. We decided to "take it casual" and years later still had that view. After about 3 years of non-committal commitment we admitted to ourselves that we were a couple.

I filled a bag for the charity shop, asked the mother if she'd drop it in on her way into town, she said she'd do it tomorrow as she wants to look through the bags to see if there's anything she wants, she has a quick glance into the bag and delcares "I love that signer"

The CDs have been sitting in a box in the junk room for years and it's only when I decide to bring them to the charity shop that she decides she wants something.

There's enough shíte in the house as it is without holding onto stuff that will never get used, should never have opened my mouth and brought them to the charity shop myself.

My parents are so like that!

I have to force my mum to do a clearout of her clothes once a year. We go through every item individually, and there are the same random skirts and tops etc that come up every year, that she hasn't once worn since last time round, but still insists she'll wear them again. The mad thing is, she has tonnes of clothes, but she wears so few of them - stuff gets lost in between all the crap stuff in her presses, so she forgets she even has them! So ends up wearing the same few things again and again.

Whereas if she'd just get rid of all the stuff she doesn't wear, she'd know at a glance what she actually owns, and be able to work out what new clothes she should buy.

My dad just refuses to throw anything out, ever. His version of tidying a room is to neatly arrange all the junk and clutter. I hate that, holding onto useless stuff! I'm pretty much the opposite of a hoarder, I do a big clearout of my stuff and throw out anything I don't need on a very regular basis. I think it's because I've lived in so many different apartments in the past few years - moving is such a hassle anyways, not a chance am I going to waste extra time and effort moving stuff that I don't even need!

After mystery man #1, a lute might be a welcome relief. :pac:

So, I seem to be fine so far. The post lunch slump is going to be hell.

Last night was quite funny actually. James has glow in the dark dodies so I went into the room and he had one in each hand and he was waving them about, and that's all I could see. It was like two glowing eyes in the dark. Then the scary noises he was making added to it. Frightening.

Ok weighing myself wasn't so bad. I've only put on about 3lbs in the last few weeks, thought it would be more. Cleaning my room while eating an apple and a pear now. Then I'm going to go for a walk and start the little cardigan from the doll outfit when I get back. :)

Been a long while since I posted in here. My new WiMax isn't set up yet so for now I have to be content with strangers peering over my shoulder in the local cybercafe.
    Big news, peeps!
I hit my first target at Motivation last week: I'm officially one stone lighter! I can now fit back into the size 22 Small jeans I last wore to my 21st birthday party. Still have a way to go before I reach my long term target of 11stone 6lbs but it's working!

That's fantastic, well done McChubbin! :D

I've set my own target of 10st so I have just over 2 stone to lose. :)

STBEH had definite hoarder tendencies. I, on the other hand, come from a family of ruthless chuckers. He got them off his dad, though. I always said that if his mum predeceases his dad, the house will end up like something off A Life of Grime within a year. He'll be one of those men who just has little trails through the piles of crap and nowhere to sit or sleep.

I couldn't tell you the amount of times I threw out some piece of junk we were never going to use, then would be out in the shed or garage a month later and find it fished out of the bin and stashed back on a shelf somewhere.
