Cheap LP-E8 batteries?

Hi, Anyone know if there is a place in city centre that sells the cheap chinese version LP-E8 batteries for canon 550D? I'm in a rush to get a couple for Monday/Tuesday as the ones we have ordered online haven't arrived yet and I'd rather not fork out a ton of cash on originals for the sake of one evenings shoot. Hi,

Sorry but I don't know of any, I'm not sure if you'd find any shops to be honest. Maybe Maplins might have slightly cheaper ones?

Be warned of comments that may follow mine saying 'I wouldn't put such a thing in my camera I once heard of one blowing up' etc.

I've bought the cheapest batteries on e-bay, (about £5 for each) and they didn't last 6 months.
Give Gunns camera shop a call in the morning (on Monday), they have both original and also good third-party ones, the ones I use in my camera now. Very good, half the Canon price.
