Medion HD media player LIFE (MD 86162) how to do manual reset?

    i got this media player in aldi a few years back was working fine till i decided to put some other firmware (ac ryan older version can't remember exactly) on it and kind of broke it :p now i can't reset it as its frozen, the screen just keeps turning on and off. Is there some trick with the remote or something to do an emergency reset? any help would be appreciated thanks :D

    ..and can anyone tell me of a ROI Medion helpline number i can contact. The one on the website does not work, says number is not in service
