Not sure if this thread is in the right area. I just wanted to get peoples opinion on the Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB) decision to opt for a professional review rather than the interview, which was previously the norm. The professional review now forms the final element of the assessment process to gain full professional membership-MCIOB-as a means of demonstrating your ability to fulfill the qualification criteria.
Anybody started the process yet, if so, any issues arrise? I am in the process of starting it, having put it on the long finger for a few years..

Is it the same process as Chartered Engineer?

Similar I think, but the norm was always to go through an interview as part of the final assessment process; seems to have changed lately though. Perhaps they are trying to broaden their membership base by making it perceivably little less onerous or else It could possibly be a commercial decision!?
