The Abbey Glen in Clifden is class.

Such an eccentric little spot. I totally loved it when I stayed there. Now mewling babbies about either the time I stayed.

Ballynahinch Castle. Not too far from
Clifden. Or the Abberglen. Rosleague Manor is fabulous and beside Clifden.

    Ballynahinch Castle

I stayed there this year, in one of their superior rooms no less (brag, brag, brag :D:D:D ). You need to be minted, seriously. Though I've never had a dinner anywhere else like it, it was perfection on a plate, faultless.

The OP probably meant Clifden Station House.

Why not consider South Connemara and in particular Roundstone which is lovely and I think Eldon's Hotel do weekends for around €200 b and b the lot. Very close to the beach. Worth checking. Have stayed there before and while it doesn't look much from the outside, it is very decent accommodation.
