    Hello,

Does any know how long Specsavers keep customer details and eye test results on file?

Would they still have my results from 2010?

    Cheers.

I would imagine so. Two years is not long in the world of eyes.

They are legally obliged to hold the results for five years.

Do you guys think they'd give me the eye test results over the phone?

No they won't as you could take them down incorrectly. They will send you copy via post Or fax to another optician.

I got my eyes tested in specsavers 2 weeks ago,I asked for the prescription but they said it would be posted out, I also asked for it to be written on a piece of paper, but no luck. Am I entitled to be given the prescription. I think they are not happy to give it unless you are buying glasses there.

You don't need to quote anything, just ask to speak to a manager and you'll have it in no time. Very common knowledge that you are entitled to it.

I think its just the way they operate their franchise in blanchardstown (not giving prescription) because my pal had an eye test in their GPO store and without question, he was given a printed card with prescription.
