Homosexuals are as bad as rapists, Polish nurses taught

Homosexuality is on a par with rape and prostitution, according to official teaching materials for Poles studying to be nurses and midwives.

Teaching books refer to homosexuality as a "pathology" and the subject often comes under the section of "sexual problems", where students are instructed on "how to identify and provide assistance in situations of sexual assault and sexual disorders".

A multiple-choice question from a 2011 exam paper on gynaecology read: "Homosexuals are particularly dangerous socially and seduce individuals by . . ."
Students are then given a number of options including "abnormal sexual drive" and "prostitution".

I have a fairly limited knowledge on Poland but aren't they pretty much currently the Ultra Conservative state that Ireland used to be? That would explain the pseudoscientific statements.

Condemnation of unjustified intolerance is always good. Do you have evidence to the contrary?

There are some things which should not be tolerated; murder , rape, paedophila etc. However being gay is perfectly natural and there's no legitimate reason to choose to be intolerant of it. I had updated my post to 'unjustified' but phone didn't keep update. Explain to me how homophobia should be considered acceptable?

Ok.... Er, yeah, I thought your first post was typical AH humour. In that pursuit, it was funny, though not original enough to warrant a thanks. It seems like you genuinely hold that opinion. Please, tell me you are just belabouring the joke.

Leaving the gay thing aside. Tolerance, or intolerance, is a difference of opinion, and you know what they say about them. "Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one, and they all stink."

If he's anything like me he can't help but see that that same comment is written every time being gay comes up.

    Not really.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Its Polish bashing season since the euros.

To be honest look hard enough in any country and you'll get these sort of incidents. It was only the other month a girl in Ireland was refused an education because she was pregnant and you had posters HERE, who agreed with it.

Saw him this morning as it happens. Was talking in a language I don't understand, but it certainly sounded like it was all his fault.

Still I know Irish people, who think, Homosexuals are 'sick' and need to be 'treated'.

Some Germans think the same, so do people in Belgium, France, Norway, Greece, China, Papua New Guinea, Burkina Faso...

Anti Homosexuality is not confined to certain countries, it's everywhere. Full stop.

Being 'GAY' is'nt natural at all .The body is'nt designed for their behaviour but the 'gay' industry with money the prime consideration is behind it and supports them . The bum was'nt made for it .The sale of Anal preparations to 'qUEERS' sHOULD BE ENOUGH PROOF .

It is important to distinguish between attitudes and beliefs and structures that reinforce homophobia. In this case it seems like the education system is reinforcing it and teaching it rather than just what a few people think or believe.
