Toyota Corolla Verso - Front Windscreen Washer Pump Not Working

Front windscreen washer not working
Checked the fuse but its ok and its common to the front wipers which are ok so it rules that out
Rear washer is working and I can hear the pump running for the rear windows
Not a sound out of the pump for the front when I pull the lever

Obvoiusly it has 2 pumps connected to the same washer bottle so I'm guessing the pump has failed

Has anyone replaced one of these and what is the easiest way to access to the pump?

I'm thinking the front right wheel has to come off and the wheel arch liner and I could be in there?

Hi ya. I had the same problem with my Avensis and a new pump is 100 quid of Toyota.

I removed the drivers wheel and peeled back the plastic under the wing and I removed the pump. I got a small screwdriver and prised the top of the pump to reveal a tiny propellor. This was seized solid but I moved it back and forth gently and it freed out. I connected the plug again and hey presto its still working..:)

If that fails you can get a new one for fifty quid on ebay or if you are stuck change the pipes from the back one..

Thanks. Tell me, is there two pumps on the washer bottle, one for front and one for rear, or is it a dual pump?

Looks like its 2 pumps and they're interchangeable

It looks identical to the one of the mk1 Avensis. I reckon you should rip your own before you waste money..

wouldnt work out universal one from halfords or any motorfactors??? i wouldnt pay such money (50 either ) for that thing. get your old one, and bring over to motorfactors, see if they can get universal one for your fitment. top price - 15-20 quid for universal . there some in ebay - here

edit ... even get a bottle with those pumps would be cheaper.
