Why do lightbulbs keep blowing?

Hi guys,
Everytime we get the electrician in to put in new lightbulbs they blow within 2 weeks.
Also,they have blown in separate premises at the same rate.
Just wondering if u think the electrician is missing some underlying problem?
Getting really annoying.

What type of light bulbs are they ?

iI have come across problems like this before and the cause was the flourscent lights on the same circuit, were of a low quality and were causing volt surges and drops as they started. we disconnected these for a few weeks and no problems, when we reconnected them the bulbs started to blow very quick again. it may not only be flourscent lamps but other electrical equipment in the installation.

anyone see what it's happened when is poor minus on back lamp in car ? all bulbs is on like on Christmas tree, it can be similar problem, electricity find easier way through your bulb to go to other equipment, is overload and bulb blow very quick.

Thats not true really. If you connect a 9kw shower through a bulb, the bulb wont blow when you try to use the shower. The bulb will simply light at almost full brightness, and the shower wont do much.

tg4 did a documtry on this before, apperenly the light buib manufactors came to an agreement that no light bulb would last behond 2400hrs.

on the subject of bulbs, you should put one in the microwave for 20 seconds with the lights off, amazing stuff it is.

yes, that tg4 docu was very good, especially the Berlin man with his 25 yr old fridge and the original light bulb still working fine! Planned obsolescence.

Get some blu-tack and use it to stick a CD vertically in your microwave, then nuke for <10 secs.

Change the starter every time you put in a new bulb if its those long lights
