Best method to clean muddy "astroturf"

Whats the best and easiest way to clean and maintain Astroturf from kids and the dirty muddy shoes?? Are there any specific chemicals or cleaning agents that should not be put on astroturf? Would a blast of a power washer and a brush down with a yard brush be ok to clean down astroturf every now and again?? Thanks.:)

bit of fairy and yard brush then spray away with power hose would prob do the job.
