Nikon F75- good price for 2nd hand one?

    Hi,

    I bought the Nikon F75 (film) with 28-100mm and 70-300mm and it has been hardly used. (kids came along and I just didn't have time, now I am about to upgrade to a digital).

    It is absolutely immaculate;practically brand new condition, and obviously nothing wrong with it atall.

    Just wondering if anyone knows what would be a fair price to sell it for.(I can't remember how much it cost originally, but it was back when I had some spare money (!!) and would have been a fair few hundred sterling.(poss about £600).

    F75 bodies sell for about £30 - £40 on eBay.co.uk

    You should be able to look up the 2 lenses you have there too.

    anything from 50->100 for the body depending on how lucky you get. The lenses ? dunno, about 100->150 for the pair ? Trawl through EBay completed listings for a good idea of what people are actually willing to pay for the stuff. Either EBay them or throw them up on adverts at a healthy premium and expect to be argued down about 25%. List them separately.

    Alternatively keep the lenses and get a mid-range Nikon digital SLR and you'll still be able to use them (the low end Nikon bodies need AFS lenses to AF, I assume neither of the above are AFS). Then flog the body or keep it as a film backup.

    Alternatively Alternatively, just start shooting with it again. Nothing wrong with it as a camera, you have a perfectly usable bit of kit there, no point going off and spending the guts of 1000 euros just to shoot digital.

    I feel it's time for digital for me. Film is no good really for what I require.I like the whole idea of taking as many shots as I like and not worrying about the cost of processing them and being able to just delete mistakes!

    I have another analogue that I am going to save for the kids, so this one is just taking up cupboard space really.
