    Hey All
Forgive me if this is a bit confusing??

I've install a sky 60mm dish with a Sky J4L LNB running(aimed at Astra 28.2E) a co axial cable to a triax SR110 Digital Satellite Receiver (DSR).
Using the TP set up menu on the DSR signal intensity and quality is +85%

    Two problems:
I'm only picking up German & French channels. No BBC, ITV Channel 4 etc. Help??? Is there certain settings needed in the DSR to pick up UK stations

    Second Problem:
I'm living in a house with coaxial cables install in all the rooms. All cables run back into the hot press into an amplifier/splitter. Amplifier connects to the coaxial cable running out to the antenna on the exterior of the house.
When I mounted the dish outside I ran two new cables (approx 15m each) into the hot press. Set up the TV + DSR in the hot press, 85% signal. Unplugging installed coaxial house cable from the amplifier/splitter for the desired room and using a female to female coaxial adapter, connect to one of the coaxial from the LNB. Set up TV + DSR in desired room guestimated coaxial cable length from desired room to LNB thru female to female adapter is 30 to 35m. I've getting no signal on DSR in desired room as outlined above??
I've done some simple cable checks and not faults in cabling.
Is there a signal amplifier need for satellite coaxial cables over a certain length?

    Thanks in advance
    S

If you are getting the German and foreign channels you are most likely pointed at the Astra 19 degrees group. They share similar frequencies. You will need to turn the dish slightly and slowly to get 28 degrees.
As for the lack of signal after the hot press I would check your connections. Be very careful as even a tiny strand of the outer screen will short out the signal.
