Can't link to the article but I read that Zuckerberg is on his honeymoon in Rome, they went out for dinner had a meal for 32 euro and left no tip,the same the day before they had a meal and left no gratuity.
I know there is going to be folk here saying why should you tip etc and I can understand it if the meal is overpriced, not good or your skint but he is a multi billionaire and I think just a bit too stingy, even a fiver.
I tip whenever I can if the factors are favourable, good food, good service,a win at the casino but what's your opinion is he being stingy or just making a point.

    So what?
Who cares what some guy we don't know does or doesn't do?
It hardly impacts on any of us.
    It's not anyone's business!

I tip if the service is good but I never saw the point of it tbh, why tip someone for what they are paid to do?

Don't know I wasn't with him at the time, it could be either.

I tip occassionally for some particular reason. I don't tip automatically... plus it's not like he's walking around with a billion quid in his pocket.

I dislike when people at restaurants expect a tip, its irritating. While in New York we had our waiter hover over the table waiting for a tip, and a friend of mines mother got chased down the street and yelled at because she didnt tip.

I dont care how low your wage is. If you genuinly work hard and provide a good service then Ill give you a small tip. I like how tipping here isnt proacticed that much, and a on a recent trip of mine I did not tip once, as its rude to do so in that country.

The guy is a fcuking geek, he wouldnt understand the social injustice that some would see in him being a multi billionaire and not tipping.

Anyway, more importantly, where is your source for this information?

I heard he paid with a facebook share, only looks stingy now that the share is worth less than the meal!

So because he's loaded he should be required to tip lots of money?

If there's a rule that your tip is proportional to your income does this mean I can ask the waiter to pay me for eating in his restaurant?

To quote Bill Gates: "I didn't get rich by writing a lot of cheques"

It's a lose-lose to some extent. No tip - he must be a tight feck. Tips €5 booooo he's a billionaire, why not more?..... Tips €500 he's a flash bollix throwing the cash around.

What is the accepted rate for a billionaire to tip at these days?

Also why can't you link to the article?

Try telling that to Fianna Fail when they were in government.

He has never seemed very flashy to me so leaving a massive tip wouldn't be out of the normal.

..and some muppet is getting paid a salary somewhere to get that information and another few muppets getting paid to relay it to us. Frankly that's a much worse use of resources when you think about it. If I was Zuckerberg I'd keep doing it just to make a point.
