brand new renault keycard won't open/close doors

I got a sparkling new replacement keycard for 2003 Laguna about two weeks ago from the authorized dealer (effin e190). Today, after a small trip I noticed the red light on the keycard stays on all the time. Moreover - the lock/unlock keys doesn't work anymore. Obviously I will take it back to the garage, but just want to know if anybody had a similar problem?
