It is something that is associated with kids and teens, mostly to do with advances in technology and graphics etc and timing I'd say.
As in, it's only really happening nowadays that it's the norm for 30 year olds to play video games regularly - because the technology etc is only here since the now 30 year olds were kids - if you get me? I'm tired, I know what I'm trying to say, but verbalising is hard!
