19th isn't too bad considering what we sent, knowing this country and the way we celebrate failure theres probably an open top bus parade for the fcukers being organised.

There will be some crowd of ejits at Dublin airport to "greet" them on their "homecoming" no doubt.

Croatia gave us 4 points I am thinking they are Irishifying themselves over their preparing for to kick our asses in a few weeks at the Euros.

He could not give out about them on the TV, he has to act like he supports them.
Not saying he should have given out about them but pretending they were good was just silly.
First time watching it in years - Sweden, Albania and Ukraine were good IMO! Lol at Jedward having a chance! Surprised Ukraine did so badly...

I wouldn't be getting upset about Ireland doing badly, it's only a bit of fun! :D

Turkey were rubbish with their sailor/bat act!

There were better acts than them! Spain, Romania, Sweden, Germany, Greece and Cyprus were good. Moldova, Estonia weren't too bad but Macedonia and Albania weren't great though. Malta were alright. A few flops for some countries though, Norway wasn't that good though, iceland ok. Denmark did better than them but song was ok. Ukraine was ok. Azerb. were better than a lot of the songs there glad it got within the top 10 at least.

I was just thinking there's so many countries in this now, we have enough for two Eurovision song contests. Let's split East and West again...worked for Germany for a while. Mind you, the Germans might have to head over to the East for a decade or so till this recession is over or hell freezes over. Whichever comes first. :)

What else could he say really. I don't think they were great either but I did think they would do better.
Sweden was good and deserved the win.

They weren't Jedward fans, they were hostages - just in case we threaten to default!

Did England give Ireland any points?
I only saw the last half hour of the show.

Ya they did was 10 points I think.

UK was a bit of a flop to be honest, song old school. Better singers and songs in the Eurovision than that song/singer. All the young wans be voting like!

I think Ireland and the UK probably know they won't win it again any time soon but sure they have a great time over there so there is no loss on them.

Haha Jedward you pair of retards!

Can we actually send someone decent next time?

I think what ever country was going to win was likely to afford to stage it next year so could have been down to that too! I know with Spain they said not to be voted so that wouldn't have to stage it next year as they wouldn't be able to afford it due to the economic crisis at the moment. Well at least it wasn't Ireland or Greece that won, been bad news economically! Though Russia been able to afford it no problem though!

Though voting was generally down to voting for their neighbouring country as usual.

Okay, have heard a lot of bitching about Jedward, listen they are young guys trying to make a name for themselves, they don't go around with tits out or falling out of nightclubs etc... let them have there time in the limelight, how many here would actually refuse to go to the euro vision at there age? I say fair f*cks to them! :)

nice to see begrudgery alive and well in Ireland

Well, it just goes to show that whining about political voting makes no sense when Sweden won and Denmark and Norway did shyte :D They won for a reason, so good on em!

Well done Sweden, good song - no doubt! and apparently the lead singer was outspoken about those who lost their homes, in order to host the competition and human rights so that's pretty cool..she wasn't silent about it.

    Well done Sweden.

I always want us to do well no matter who represents us. We will not win Eurovision again no matter who we send.

It's nice to see the country succeed at something, Eurovision certainly isn't on the cards but what the heck there's always next year to cheer :)

Trying to make a name for themselves? Their target audience is teenagers, they are not serious preformers. They have made money but they won't have a long term career and they are a novelty act. They just annoy the hell out of me.

It's not the winning it's the taking part. And the taking part is the sitting at home, listening to the cheesiest music known to man, boozing it up and complaining and laughing at it all.

    Doog tiems.

Two somewhat strange young fellas, but they seem fairly content and they are financially secure for their foreseeable future.

    Fair play to them.

If we can get Johnny Logan back in, it's ours for the taking.
