    Not really, a lot of short stories are just "middle". Novels have to have beginning, middle and end, but short stories (in general) are supposed to give you a snapshot of the life of the character at a particular moment in time. So you can get away without a clear-cut beginning and end if you want!

    If you are using six words obviously it needs structure otherwise it makes no claim to being a story.
