Yamaha Souround sound

HI all i have a Yamaha RV-V371 receiver and it connected to my tv through my sky box but if tune in to the freeviw on the TV there is no sound out of the receiver or my TV is their any way of getting the sound from the TV through the Receiver..?????:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That Yamaha amp supports audio return channel (ARC) on the 'HDMI Out' port and if the TV also supports ARC, the TV can send the audio signal back to the amp down the HDMI cable. The HDMI cable needs to be at 1.4.

Otherwise your TV will need to have 'audio out' RCA (phono) ports which you will need to connect to 'audio in' ports (probably AV5) on the amp. via regular phono leads.
