Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ecigwizard are good but liberty flights have them slightly cheaper and they supply the UK plug included in the price (though you have to fit it yourself), and I think they are still free postage.

Cheers guys, might order it from liberty next week.

    They're very expensive.
You be better off buying AW's or Trustfire.

I thought €14 for two batteries wasn't too bad?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

price is decent, dunno how good they'd be though

hard to know with batteries really, and I dont know how great they'd be for variable vaping. probably great for a 3.7v tube mod though

I think Liberty flights with the discount code are the cheapest for the good AW batterys this side of the world though I stand to be corrected.

The ecr69 code doenst work on batteries.

    £10.49 for a 2000mAh AW IMR.

I see trust fire have a handy charger that'll do 4 batteries, and that xtar model that does 6!!!

Could do with picking up a couple more 18650's but I'm not sure about the quality of the HC ones!

You could try these, they are about €13 for 2 of them with free delivery. I got them recently and they work great and as far as I can tell they are genuine but delivery time is about a month.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 3,761 Mod ✭✭✭✭eeloe

Couldn't hack that waiting a month for em....i'm bad enough having to wait a week to get stuff from the states!

I'm kind of like that too, I've still to put in any other order from China. I just ordered them because I didn't need them straight away and they were so cheap.

I could do with another lavatube battery, and I'll need two protected babies for my silver bullet when it arrives this week.

    2 x 2000mAh AW IMR's
    1 x 1700mAh lavatube battery

Comes to €40 shipped from Ecigwizard

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

why are you buying the 1700mah battery? surely the 2000mah aw imr will work in the LT

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 3,761 Mod ✭✭✭✭eeloe

I've already got two of the flat tops in my LT, wanted to get a 3rd to keep them strictly for the LT.

The AW IMRs will be for the SB!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Probably a stupid question cos I don't know a whole lot about mods. But what's the advantage to having the silver bullet if you already have a lavatube?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 3,761 Mod ✭✭✭✭eeloe

Purely looks, the SIlver Bullet is an unregulated 3.7v device, where the LT is variable voltage.

I've wanted one since i first saw one.

    Picked up 2 2600mAh Ultrafires from iVapour-Elixir for £12 shipped....not bad.

They are the batteries sold by altsmoke and iVapour when ya buy a silver bullet anyway so the must be fairly decent, and with 2600mAh I should get a good while between charges!

Another warning , be careful with the chargers and batteries.... There is no such a thing like a safe LI-ION battery .Don't leave them charging unattended ...

    Tustfire tr001 charger ,
IMR 1600 mah battery ( original , came from provape )
Battery exploded during the charging , stroke the wall ( 3 meters away from the charger ) some damage done ...

cause of explosion- faulty charger ( it was working alright for year or so , until gone "crazy" -- output voltage 4.3-4.6 volt instead of 4.2

I am kinda thinking to get proper charger now :D XTAR wp6 II with temperature monitoring system or hobbyist charger ...
TR 001 are popular , build quality very poor tho ....don't think i gonna use it anymore :D

safety bag could be very useful too

I always thought the trustfire chargers were reputed to be fairly good. There must be tens of thousands of them in use in Ireland and the UK but I suppose nothing is 100% safe. The bag thing sounds like a good extra precaution.

aye, there's so many tr001's in use a few of them are bound to fail every now and again

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

This one looks fairly good but you never know with any of them I suppose as nothing is fail-proof. http://www.safercigs.co.uk/XTAR_SP2/p705283_6359741.aspx

Wow....I guess I shouldn't be leaving batteries charge up at home while I'm at work then, no?

Never ever!! Always be there and keep an eye on them and never let them charge at night either when sleeping..

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 3,761 Mod ✭✭✭✭eeloe

Whoops....i was leaving them charge over night the last while, thought nothing of it to be honest.

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

At least you know now :) I think these batteries should come with proper safety guidelines when sold anyway because a lot of people don't realise the dangers of them if things go wrong.

seems to be decent charger , few safety features , external psu --- it is definitely better than tr01 ,
    Oh, 3 charging speeds up to 2A :) -- It'll charge imr 1600 in one hour :)

I badly want this one :)
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6792
top of the range , can charge almost everything ..Car battery for instance. usb port to do real time monitoring ( drawing charge/discharge curves etc.)

That's getting a bit too in to the battery charging there Alec.

Nearly €80 for a charger, madness!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,603 ✭✭✭alec76

I know ... Dont forget psu for it, another €30 :)

XTAR SP2 seems to be really good option , i think i'll get one :)

Good charger however it won't charge 18350 batteries :( (Mini Lava or Smoktech Vmax)

Surely it will , with the spacers on ?

    Got Xtar sp2 :)
It is fast charger alright :D
only took 1 hour to charge IMR 2000 mAh .(2A Mode)
    I wouldn't use 2A mode for other batteries , but IMR 18650 2000 mah rated at 2A max charge ( well i think so :D )

Trustfire chargers are perfect 99.99% of the time.
It's also the charger Provape sell on their site for use with the ProVari, they're way too canny to sell anything dangerous.
