Replacing the light that illuminates your air control knobs. In a vw passat

    So your knobs that control your heating/AC are no longer illuminated. Here's a how to on replacing the tiny bulb.. This is how i got mine changed after some time i tried this method and it worked first time :)

    so turn the center knob to setting 2. Put a soft cloth or some toilet roll round the knob and pull with a pliers.. now you'll see the tiny bulb in the TINY HOLE don't despair. Take an eyebrow tweezers.. get two pieces of rubber and glue them to the end of the tweezers (the part that grips the bulb) let it dry... then take more glue and put it on the rubber and grip the bulb with it! Wait till dry and pull straight!!! Forward!!! And now you should have the tiny bulb out. To put in new bulb just use tweezers to insert.... good luck ;)

    Or you can just use a piece of vacuum hose, to pull the bulb and push it back in.
